Study on creep damage and crack growth for TC11 under complex stress loading

چکیده
In order to investigate the creep damage and crack growth of TC11, we established finite element model based on ductility exhaustion constitutive model. This paper uses uniaxial test TC11 at 500℃ as a reference studies effect initial dimensions CT specimen surface specimen. The length has significant material. larger length, higher rate, tip equivalent stress triaxiality. greater influence for deep specimens( 0 / W =0.6, =0.7) than that shallow =0.3, =0.4, =0.5). When intensity factor K π/2 deepest location is same, each in depth direction same time approximately twice much direction. With increase size, rate decreases gradually. And depth.

A Study on the parameter estimation for crack growth prediction under variable amplitude loading
Bayesian formulation is presented to address the parameters estimation under uncertainty in the crack growth prediction subjected to variable amplitude loading. Huang's model is employed to describe the retardation and acceleration of the crack growth during the loadings. Model parameters are estimated in probabilistic way and updated conditional on the measured data by Bayesian inference. Mark...
متن کاملCrack Growth and Lifetime of Concrete under Long Time Loading
Edge-notched eccentrically compressed fracture specimens made of aggregate of reduced size are loaded in standard creep test frames. Measurements of the time rate of crack mouth opening in notched concrete specimens subjected to constant load of almost one month duration are reported and analyzed. To reveal the size effect, geometrically similar specimens of four sizes in the ratio I :2:4:8 are...
متن کاملThreshold stress intensity factor and crack growth rate prediction under mixed-mode loading
A new mixed-mode threshold stress intensity factor is developed using a critical plane-based multiaxial fatigue theory and the Kitagawa diagram. The proposed method is a nominal approach since the fatigue damage is evaluated using remote stresses acting on a cracked component rather than stresses near the crack tip. An equivalent stress intensity factor defined on the critical plane is proposed...
متن کاملThe Fracture Mechanics Concept of Creep and Creep/Fatigue Crack Growth in Life Assessment
There is an increasing need to assess the service life of components containing defect which operate at high temperature. This paper describes the current fracture mechanics concepts that are employed to predict cracking of engineering materials at high temperatures under static and cyclic loading. The relationship between these concepts and those of high temperature life assessment methods is ...
متن کاملStudy of cavities in a creep crack growth test specimen
During their operation, modern aircraft engine components are subjected to increasingly demanding operating conditions, especially the high pressure turbine (HPT) blades. Such conditions cause these parts to undergo different types of time-dependent degradation, one of which is creep. A model using the finite element method (FEM) was developed, in order to be able to predict the creep behaviour...
